What is “The Great DJ Getaway” contest?
A lucky winner will be flown to Miami for 2 days to party and play a showcase set at the world famous Winter Music Conference attended by over 40,000 DJs, industry professionals, and aspiring creative stars. This is the opportunity of a lifetime to make your mark on the industry and gather a whole new army of fans and industry contacts! To enter “The Great DJ Getaway” contest:

  1. Create a youtube video of your best work with the Vestax VCI-300 and upload to YouTube. Don't worry about sound quality or video quality. Its a great performance we are looking for!
  2. Fill out the online form with your information and a link to your jammin’ YouTube any time between October 1, 2007 and January 15, 2009. After we receive your email, we will review your video and place it on Vestax’s own YouTube channel.
  3. Between the dates of October 1, 2008 and January 15, 2009, the videos that receive the most number of views and highest ratings from youtubers will then be submitted to our panel of judges including Vestax management team, members of the press, and professional DJs.
  4. The winner will be selected by the panel of judges and announced via email and telephone on or before February 1, 2009.

What Happens When I Win?

  1. You will be flown from your hometown to Miami on Thurs., March 26, '09.
  2. A black car will drive you from Miami International Airport to your hotel.
  3. You will be booked in a Miami hotel from March 26 to March 28*.
  4. You will play a WMC Showcase on Friday night, March 27, 2009 that will be announced on or before February 1, 2009.
  5. Transportation to and from the Showcase and your hotel will be provided.
  6. You will have access to WMC parties and events so you can “make the most” of your evening after your WMC Showcase.
  7. A black car will drive you from the hotel back to the airport on Saturday, March 28 and you will be flown back to your hometown.
* Must be at least 21 years old to submit to this contest; drivers license proof of age is required with submissions. No purchase necessary. Limited to USA residents, and winner must fly from a USA location to and from Miami. Expenses will be prepaid and are limited to Hotel room fee + taxes and do not include incidentals which will be the responsibility of the winner. Transportation expenses will be prepaid and are limited to taxi to and from airport and to and from the hotel and the performance venue.
